A quick shout out for my rather dear Mathew, who has just launched a Crowdfunder to:
Expand his very successful pottery teaching classes by a investing in additional pottery wheels, so he can teach more people per class.
Take on a bigger, solo studio to put the pottery wheels in and make more of his own lovely pots.
Offer free community outreach classes in collaboration with Brighton homeless and mental health charities, so that those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience the therapeutic benefits of working with clay can do so.
The full plan needs £15k, but he can get it off the ground with £5k. Crowdfunder lets you keep whatever you raise, so every penny donated will help make the project possible. There are also some lovely rewards if it’s something people feel really inspired to invest in. One of which is to have a pottery wheel named after you!
